  • We need to find a name for our new band. Any ideas? Maybe we need to start a new thread solely for that purpose...
  • Sorry HRQ. I was just so excited about seeing the rain, I got carried away. Can we talk about the snow we got on Sunday? Did you get any? I live in Central Phoenix and got caught in the 'flurry'. Timing was perfect, as I was just walking into Starbucks. Had to go with the LARGE cup it was so cold!
Wow, you do a lot of driving, Avondale to Tempe. You must take the 10. Many of our employees come from Avondale to downtown Phoenix, and I get lots of calls - running late due to accidents. Maybe I should contact you in the mornings to check the validity of the excuses.
Signing off from bright SUNNY Phoenix.

  • Feel free - you'll get the straight story from me. x:-) There aren't so many accidents, just one big very slow moving parking lot for no apparent reason, other than sheer volume of cars entering/exiting the 10. I plan for an hour each way, just in case.

I hear occasional whining from others about their drive and dont' feel any sympathy. I accepted this job knowing what the drive was, so did they. (OK, I ACT somewhat sympathetic, just don't feel it...)

I didn't get any snow - but then I hardly left the house yesterday so may have missed it. Saw a few chunks of slush on the street though. Looks like they fell off a car, it was all grey and ugly. Just like back home. (Omaha)

It's good to see the sun out again, even if it is still cold as all get-out today!
  • So I like gadgets. Yeah any band I am in is going to have a cool 80's retro sound, lots of synthesizers, jackets with shoulder pads, mousse, and eyeliner.

    Band names:

    H&R ROCK!!!

    Casual Fridays

    Strategic Monkeys

    The Pepto Absymals

    The Rolling Calendars

    OutSourced Rage

    The Cheese Movers

    The Cubicles

    The Grievances

  • Oooh, good ones. I'm moving them over to the other thread...
