Sounds good to me. My weekend plan is slightly different but just as promising. Six great friends, no wives or children, alot of golf, basketball, games, and trash talking.

Oh I'm jealous!!! But my plans would read "six great friends, no husbands, children or pets, alot of pampering (i.e. manicure, pedicure, massage), condo at the beach with chick flicks, chocolate and miles of sand to walk on.
I'm not having a good day today, but I am looking forward to getting together with six of my closest friends tonight also. Funny thing about MY friends .....they're all held together by this little plastic thingy.

That's the great thing about a girls' weekend -- you don't have to care how you look so packing's quick and easy! I can be ready by 6 pm east coast time.
(I think Larry meant a six-pack, but you probably knew that.)
Well, I am back from my weekend. We were up until 4:30 am on Friday night and 1:30 am on Saturday night. Losing an hour to daylight savings was just plain cruel.
Events included ping pong, foosball, basketball, video games, Texas Holdem poker, more video games, nerf war, more video games, and finally a round of golf.
I resisted the peer pressure to drink something called a "Rock Star Energy Drink" which apparently is liquified sugar and caffeine.
I had a great time but came in dead last in the overall competition mostly due to the video games. I did finish second in poker.
We stayed in a swedish furniture showroom owned by one of the guys. Nothing like playing poker sitting in $600 chairs.
1. The Dillards. They are a bluegrass bunch who toured around in the 60's and 70's and appeared occasionally on the Andy Grffith Show. The quote comes from their concert album.

Speaking of Rod Serling, her are some more. Especially for you, Ray.

I agree, 2 and 3 are Serling. BTW, Rod Serling was a native of Binghamton, NY. He lived within 5 miles of where I live now. I'm sure you're all impressed by that piece of minutiae.
I went to New Orleans last week to visit a friend. It's still sad...plenty of jobs, every place has a "hiring now" sign but even if they could get the workers back, housing is an issue. The restaraunts that have reopened have to close at 7 or 8 each night because they don't have enough employees. Every street you pass has FEMA trailers sitting on the front lawns of houses. As you fly in, you see blue tarps on roofs. So many places outside of the quarter or the square have not reopened yet...not enough workers or money. So many shopping/strip centers are dark at night because no stores are open. BUT the city and people are coming back to life...the quarter is open and very alive so if anybody wants to go to Nawlins...it is open for business and they need the business.

I can think of a cure that involves a car, picnic basket and road map.
Bring it.

1. In every culture there is a need for murder.
2. Everyone is put on this earth condemned to die....time and place of execution unknown.
3. We are all travelers. The trip starts in a place called Birth and ends in a lonely town called Death.
4. We each owe a death. There are no exceptions.
There. Hope that cheers everybody up. Have a good day!!

Ok, you walked into that one.
The night Katrina hit, I stayed up until about 2 am watching Louisiana tv online. It was unbelievable. We should have been more prepared.
