When you think about it, why do you need a policy. Texting while driving is incredibly stupid. Anyone caught doing this on company time whether or not in a company vehicle, needs to be disciplined, because they're stupid! Ken

I don't think there's a "hard and fast" rule when it comes to this. I think it depends on the relationship you have with your boss. I usually get him a bottle of Bailey's or Sambuca.

What this person is costing you in lost productivity and being a "morale killer" is a hell of a lot more that what you're going to be paying in unemployment insurance costs. You need to eliminate this employee, with dignity and repect, of course.
