• I do believe you're right! So it'll happen twice in my lifetime, although the first time I was asleep.
• LAST EDITED ON 03-31-06 AT 08:44AM (CST)[br][br]I've watched most of this season but have missed a few episodes. Here's what I think know: The guy who got ran off the road is the deceased President's brother, …

• I've got a soccer game tonight so I'm going to TIVO it and watch it later when I can zip over the commercials & the parts I don't want to watch.
• You're right but it's much easier to be unhealthy. It takes me more time to put together a healthy lunch than going out or grabbing a frozen meal, but I packed a nice turkey salad for today and my daughter is now taking the time to pack her lunch i…
• I haven't DQ'd them because of an address but I do take a much harder look at them if their address is cutsey. The address does reflect them, that's why they chose it. I did advise my kids when they were seniors in high school to have a professiona…
• I can't watch the finger pointing anymore. It's pretty much useless. Katrina happened and something else is going to happen sometime, somewhere and the politicians will get blamed for that too. Help is on the way. Monday the sheriff's department…
• Good idea to get two. I'm considering another one since our 3 yr. old cat seems to be bored. At times he'll just wander around the house, then plop down near someone (don't know what his criteria is). I know we don't play with him enough and he cou…
• ARGHHHH. And I was going to go to the store tonight for my usual 2 week trip! Now I'll look like a hoarder. Gas here in Cincinnati is $3.09 for regular, even at the "cheap" stations. Kroger gas pumps are too far away from me to make it worthwhile t…
• I've got a 19 mile one way commute and no public transportation. I'm not running my AC unless it's over 85 and when my 11 year old SUV finally keels over (it has 205,300 on it) I'll probably look at a mid-size car with good MPG. My hubby laughed wh…
• It's $2.69 for the cheap stuff in Cincinnati.
• We have the TV on entirely too much. The kiddies have to have it on for the background noise so when they get home from work whatever room they're in has one on. We have 8 TV's but three of them are in one room! But it's the finished part of the b…

• Don, I thought she was insane for wanting to spend that much time shopping, but she's 18 & this'll probably be the only opportunity she ever has to do this. And there aren't that many teenage girls who want to spend that many consecutive days al…
• Lisa, It's a high school graduation. She wanted to go there for the shopping. Originally she had been saving up for a $800 Louis Vuitton purse (she watched too much Jessica Simpson on the Newlyweds) & her grandmother told her that for that muc…
• Larry, I'm visiting Minneapolis in 2 weeks with my daughter (her graduation trip). Any sights we should definately see besides the mall? We're planning 1 day in the city, the rest shopping, arghhhhh. (:| Also, is Thursday or Friday better to vis…
• Sun is shining, 65-70 degrees with a light breeze, the kids are at work, a good book and a pitcher of margaritas! Arghhhhh. It's 92, scattered thunderstorms, humid & there's a smog alert. It is NOT a perfect summer day today!
• Just get a little open-air 2 or 4 wheel "trailer" & hitch it to the back of your mower. It'll hold more than a wheelbarrow, you get a little break driving it to wherever, & you'll have your drink where it's away from any icky stuff you don't…
• ENFJ, but I thought I'd be more introverted.

• We have one department, not in the public area, that is allowed to have headphones to listen to music. They use computers all day long and it seems to help them concentrate. We don't have a policy about the usage.
• We're small, only 130 employees, so I make sure everything is done. We also don't have promotions that often.
• You can find ours at www.middletownlibrary.org and click on jobs. I've got a new one that is to be posted when our web site goes through a major update but it's been postponed so many times I just might see if they can put the new one on…
• We are a government non-profit. If the county sherriff's office declares a level 3 emergency we close immediately. All staff members who were at work and on the clock are paid for the time they were scheduled to work but were off due to the closin…
• Time worked is time worked, even at home. I tell everyone that time cards must reflect the actual time worked and all time worked. Any time over 40 hours per week is overtime, even if it hasn't been authorized it still has to be paid. We discipl…
• We use a matrix just like LarryC's and it's based on performance. Our average is 2.5% and we're a government non-profit.
• Definately check your states regs. We would handle it by paying out any accrued vacation when they leave, notice or no notice. They would have had to do something really awful, like fraud or steal, for us not to pay it out. She's an upset former …
• Even if the regs allowed the next payroll I'd cut a special check due to the circumstances of the termination being overturned. Making him wait until the next payroll will probably be a hardship for him and I wouldn't want to make him even more ups…
• We had the same thing happen and changed it really quickly when we found out they were leavings the premises. Their paid break time must be on the premises and once in a great while they don't even get one if we're super busy (we're not union). They…
• Ohio law is no different than federal law; there is no provision that requires an employer to give employees time off during the work shift for a lunch break or a break, unless the break is in a union contract and except for minors. The Ohio Child …

• We don't pay part-timers for holidays, vacations or sick time. We do have some part-timers who want all their allocated hours so when there's a holiday we schedule them for all the hours if we need them.
• We don't dock when extra time is taken for a lunch with a vendor. We anticipate that it will take more time than their usual hour. Besides, for the most part they're talking about work related things anyway. We've never had other employees compla…
• As a non-profit government entity we do half of that. Our TPA (AFLAC) prepares the documents, I keep track of the employee contributions. They are free because we offer their products to employee's. They're 100% employee deducted, of course. I d…
