If you know the link for the state of New Jersey, I would appreciate hearing from you as well. Thanks

Great idea! I'd also like to see the year's of experience the employee has in that specific field and also with the company and if they hold a 2 or 4 year degree.

Increased life insurance amount Paid parking These are a couple that we give our management staff.

I'd rather see longevity lump sum bonuses which aren't added into the salary bottom line than to have the long-timers receive that increase in their salary. By doing it that way the company winds up with a secretary (or any other position) being pa…

Our union contracts have a clause that state if the employee does not give 2 weeks notice of their intent to resign that they forfeit any accrued time. Based on the above response, is this legal?

I agree. It is against FMLA regulations per section 825.215 (2) ......the employee may not be disqualified for the bonus(es) for the taking of FMLA leave. You may want to read the whole section, however before making your decision.

Are there specific forms for an ADA request like those that are issued for FMLA leave? I'm not aware of any, but wanted to throw the question out to you all.

Is a company with only 20 employees subject to FMLA leave? Unless it has been changed since my last copy of the reg, I believe the number of employees is 50 as far as Federal law goes. However maternity leave must be treated the same as any other…

I agree. Your best bet, unfortunately, may be for you to go elsewhere for employment. I say this because if he is as good a manager as you say albeit for the problem you have with him, upper management will more than likely not support anything yo…

It seems more likely than not, that the employees are upset because they now must do the work that was previously done by the temporary employee. I think a general meeting (with the supervisor present) is in order. Explain that you are aware they …

One further step. Does a company have a greater liability if they accept actual applications in addition to resumes? (with or without an actual job opening)
-
I have read all of the above with great interest and wonder if anyone has a list of what CAN BE included in an employee's personnel file? I see that reference checks should NOT be included and I was unaware of that!

If an employer does not retain the applications/resumes received and an EEOC claim IS filed say two years down the road, then the emloyer has no resumes to produce. What happens in that instance?
-
What is the retention requirement for unsolicited resumes? Also what is the retention requirement for applications received for advertised positions?
