I was wondering what other companies are using for the renewal of vacation/sick time.....we currently start all of our vacation/sick time over January 1st but are thinking about changing it to the date of hire.....thanks!

I was also interested in knowing what other companies use as the accrual based on years of service provided.
Here is a report that I found of a study back in 2004 resented by SHRM but completed by salary.com, what do you think? In addition to this, there were on average 10 paid holidays.
