  Here is a question for a small debate: Should the notice have gone out by yesterday (September 30th) to meet the 'by October 1' deadline, or does sending the notice out today still make you compliant?
  
  Some people here thought 9/30 and some thought 10/1. Your thoughts?

  To me the way it is written "by October 1" indicates that the date of 10-01 is the deadline to send it out. Anyways... we sent it out middle of last week and (thankfully) have not heard a single comment from any employee. Seems most folk are just tired of hearing about all the fuss on health care.

  When I saw "by October 1" I took that to mean get it sent out before October 1 so by today everyone had received it, so I sent it out last week.
  
  I've had one question from an employee regarding the ACA, but it was asked before she'd received the notice. I've got to agree with Dutch, I think most people are just tired of hearing about it!

  I notified all employees on October 1st and I have not heard any comments. I guess we just have to wait and see.. It is so frustrating!!!!
