Paul: Just reviewed your original post "This is the tread that will never die" dated 9-13-06. The original thread received 305 replies and 3009 views. I fear your new thread, "Son of...." is lagging far behind.
Err.. I mean, interesting observation, my brother! Son Of Thread is still just a youngster and is accumulating posts and views very rapidly. I have no doubt it will surpass the original Thread that Will Never Die and its imposters soon.
Ray, were you not hugged enough as a child? What is with you and your incessant grammatical critiques?
Who elected you hall monitor?
Disclaimer: For those of you who are easily offended, highly sensitive, and delicate, I apologize for anything I have said that has hurt your feelings. Would a group hug make you feel better?
Welcome back Paul, even if it is on a limited basis. Okay, so getting back to what this thread is really supposed to perpetuate: "The American Indians found out what happens when you don't control immigration." Run with that one for awhile.....
Notice Paul entitled his thread, "Son of...". He is acknowledging that he is the offspring of the other larger and established thread. And from generation to generation sons always seek to gain their father's approval. Paul is merely seeking validation.
To respond to the countless private messages I have recieved from worried forum members, Ray and I are actually good friends. We e-mail regularly. He asks me for advice frequently. On this forum we take an adverserial stance simply in jest. Don't be alarmed.
Disclaimer: If you weren't such a namby pants I wouldn't have to keep apologizing.
I just "assumed" since Paul lives and work on a beach that he wore sandals all year round. This would make counting the little piggies a lot easier.
Ray... I thought you had said that Paul is always asking your for advice... must of misunderstood. Those dare senior moments are comin' more and more often; I think.
I am mad at you. I am the only person who stood in support of your "new self" and didn't make fun of you for any little bit of it.
Now I've been made a fool of, and you have yet to thank me for standing by you. I don't care how much money, sparkly gel pens and flower-shaped sticky notes you send me or have already sent me, I am NOT going to be your sidekick.
And yes, I know that I ended a phrase with a preposition. And yes, I know I started a sentence with "and." I do not care.
First off, you all are squatters on MY thread. Let's just get that straight right off. I created this thread for anyone who felt excluded from the silliness of TTWND or happened to still be using dial up.
Technically, that means HRQ was both excluded and included. I can see now how that caused some confusion for her.
My effort to walk on the positive side of life was genuine but short lived. I found such an outlook impossible to maintain for any length of time. I must be true to my nature.
The only thing that was gained from that experience was the discovery that HRQ is my one true friend in all the world. She, and she alone, supported my foray into an alternative lifestyle. And now, I have lost her...

Blesings.
I gotta be me. I gott be REAL.
What I'll do is what others have done before when they couldnt play nicely. Use a disclaimer. Now what I saw is YOUR problem, not mine. Its genius.
MUW HA HA HA HA HA!
Disclaimer: If I have offended you in any way than I am sorry that you are so sensitive. It must be hard to be you.

Now the question is: Is he better or worse?

Depends on who's in the group.

I'm still glad I gave him the chance, becase I'm that kind of a person. No mas. From now on, it's all skepticism, all the time. Pollyanna is dead.
Oh, who am I foolin'?

Even though I am not gay, I am trying to get myself into a protected class.
As an under 40, straight, non-handicapped, white male protestant I am not protected by anything.
This may be my one chance!
