Okay this looks like the right thread for me. I assume this was started to eliminate the bleeding hearts, whiners, and liberals? I'm an old school HRer and the whiners were getting to me on the other threads. But if I'm wrong, that's okay, I may hang out here anyway and throw rocks at the libs!!

I'm currently working on a "Son of Thread" Calendar which will feature tasteful photos of thread members. So far Jim and I have January and February covered.

Make it a double. This would seem to be the ideal depository/relief valve from reading the "don't upset anybody" thread responses. Actually we need the newly selected HR people to come here first with their questions so we can get them started on the right path! Maybe we can get the next generation started on the right (sometimes far right) foot....

Jim, I apologize for Ray and HRQ. They are saboteurs from "the other side" that have crossed over to stir up trouble. Its something I have seen before.

I am 100 percent with you on the straight talking, thick skin idea for this thread. If there is one thing I have always stood for on these forums, its for honesty, brutal as it may be.

This isnt kindergarten. If you can't handle the truth, stay out of this thread. Go hold hands and talk about music on the other thread.

He also knows better than to call me names. Not because I'll kick his bootie, but because I'll run away and stop being such a meaningful contributor to the "Threads that will never die" series. For a few days, anyway. x;-)

No EAP, except for the counseling I personally provide pretty much all day long. I suppose I could counsel myself. Easier to just toss back some scotch when nobody's looking. Then I would have to fire myself, and argue both sides of the case in the unemployment hearing.

I talk to myself a lot anyway, so I'll probably never notice the difference. x:D

Sheesh - and the only beverage I've had today is Starbucks coffee. I can never tell exactly what they are putting in my coffee, but it sure tastes good.
