During an interview with a potential employee can you ask them if they are considering any other employment opportunities?

    I am guessing that this question would apply to a really good potential candidate you are interested in. Sure you can. There is nothing wrong about this question. The only thing is, that you might not get a true honest answer about it. Maybe you will hear that they do have other offers or just "this one great offer" that they are considering, just to sound more appealing and to put pressure later on when you make your hiring desicion.
