Termination away from the office?

We have an employee that is temperamental and that we are nervous about terminating, but it needs to happen. Her manager asked whether or not terminating her away from the office would be a solution. Has anyone tried this, or does anyone have thoughts on this idea?

I'm worried that she will realize what's going on - she still will have a key to the office, key to the building, user logins, etc... Until the termination, that is.

Any thoughts?
