Takeover and COBRA
I am trying to get information on what has happened to others in the past that have worked for a company (say “Company A”) that was bought out by another company (say “Company B”) then laid off.
Are employees eligible for COBRA insurance with Company B?
What if “Company A” was dissolved and not taken over by another company? Would employees’ receive COBRA from their current health insurance plan? Or would they just be left with no health insurance?
