Are you giving pay increases?

I am trying to get an idea what other companies are giving for pay increases currently.  We are an Electrical Distributor in Florida and our business really has not recovered yet from the recession due to the close tie with the construction market. We want to remain competitive but are a little hesitant to increase pay rates.  Does anyone have any suggestions?  Thanks!

    There are a lot of things you need to look at here.  Are you losing employees to other competitors/employers because of pay?   How does your compensation compare to your competitors at the moment?  What about other things like benefits, vacation/sick leave, flexibility of schedules, etc?

    If you are losing good employees because of some of these items and you still have good customers you need to support, then you may have to bite the bullet and make changes in order to keep these employees.
