Non-Paid Leave of Absence (Non-FMLA)

Hi all,

I've been investigating a policy change for our company (larger) in the non-FMLA non-paid leave of absence.  Just wanted to see how many months/weeks does your respective companies offer in terms of that?

 Thanks!

  • For a non-FMLA leave of absence, the most we offer is 90 days.  Each request is taken on a case by case basis.  The leave does not have to go up to the max of 90 days, but can.  I normally use these types of leave for people who would have qualified for FMLA, but haven't worked for us a year or other types of emergency situations that might fall within similar guidelines.  Our policy is fairly vague in that we do not have to offer this type of leave - it is entirely based upon the company's discretion.

     Hope that helps.
