Pay Increases

How do you handle pay increases - department budgets, standard percentage, meritt percentage etc...?

If you use a budget how do you determine what your budget will be each year?

  • Our pay increases are directly related to performance. The employee's rating correponds with a certain percent raise, all budgeted out for the year. Pay budget increases have hovered just under 4% for the past few years. We keep tabs on industry and regional standards through several pay budget resources (BLR, World at Work, SHRM, etc.)
