Union Buttons

Hi all...so, a few of my employees are on a union organizing kick and came in wearing union buttons. Do I have to allow this? We are a very customer oriented business, and I don't want our customers getting the wrong idea...Thanks!

I wouldn't ban the buttons or threaten discipline for wearing them or you could be in violation of the National Labor Relations Act.

I believe you will discover they have the right to display the buttons. See section 7 of the Act (NLRB).

I think so too...there are a few exceptions, i think, but i would err on the side of just allowing the buttons...
