use of walkers in the workplace

Hello; I am wondering if anyone has a source I can review or
contact  about the  employability impact  for individuals who
use a walker in the workplace.

I have found that the Job Accommodation Network (JAN) can help with accommodation issues for specific disabilities (i.e., a walker). JAN is on the web at :http://www.jan.wvu.edu/ ; You can call and talk to an accommodation specialist who can give you ideas about employability and accommodation. I think the call is confidential too. Good luck.

If the employee can still perform the essential functions of his or her job, you have an obligation to continue employment under the ADA. If there are reasonable accommodations that can be made to allow the employee to perform his or her job, the ADA also says that you must make those accommodations.
