CA employer, NJ employee- which overtime rules?

Hi, we are an ER in CA and have an EE in NJ. Was wondering which state's overtime rules we need to follow. Thanks!

    California overtime law would apply to nonresident employees performing work inside California, for example on a trip to the California offices, according to Sullivan v. Oracle Corporation and See’s Candy Shops, Inc. v. Superior Court.

    Nonresident employees of a California company performing work in their home state, such as New Jersey, would be subject to the overtime laws of the home state.
