To test or not to test...randomly... is the question

Currently we have two types of drug testing...temporary workers (NOT on our payroll) are tested by the temp service before beginning an assignment at our facility and we have random drug testing (DOT) for our 3 truck drivers. (I have attended "reasonable suspicion" training, along with other members of company management.)

Our (private sector, non-union) company is thinking about creating a formal company-wide drug policy, which would include performing random drug testing on all workers, including those in NON safety sensitive jobs (which is pretty much everyone, including clerical).

I'm posting to find out how many other companies do random testing on everyone? Based on what I've read, suspicionless random testing is unpopular with the courts, but not prohibited by law.

Your feedback would be appreciated.
