Premium Increases for Renewal

Have any of you started the renewal process yet? What sort of numbers are you seeing? What sort of numbers are you anticipating?

Just the thought of this makes me want to reach for the Advil....

We just completed our renewal. Had a 10% increase in premiums on our "traditional" style plan and a 5% increase on our HSA premiums. Frankly, it was better than we had anticipated (we had some rather large claims in the past 12 months), up only a little bit from last year and down quite a bit from a couple of years before that.

We had NO increase. . the only bright news of late. .

Ours was back in April and the overall decrease was about 24%.

Here is a link to a NY Times article today that indicates Frank's situation (a big decrease!) is more the exception than the rule right now. How did you all do that, Frank? tk

We had to switch carriers, but renewing with the old carrier would have still been a slight decrease.

Our renewal was July 1. We were quoted a 27% increase and told by our broker we were very lucky. They had a few 65% + increases for some of their other clients.
