I think there are lots of factual reasons to be concerned about a "President Hillary" that its not necessary to speculate about a hypothetical situation.

Hillary is certainly smart and often effective. What bothers me is the constant feeling I get that she is pretending to be one of us.

And by one of us, I mean one of us humans.

The factual reasons make the conjecture plausible, therefore we need to be take this seriously.

Why does the author date the prediction 2012? It likely won't take that long. It's also a concern that she would react to aggression with nuclear weapons rather than a foot soldier war. Then again, maybe I'm not giving her a fair chance to prove herself; oh yeah, she already has by being co-president.

Hillary chooses to identify herself as a Progressive rather than a Liberal, from the 1920's government movement. It was the beginning of American Socialism: break up the big companies because they are bad for the country and are too powerful, bigger government, share the wealth, tax the rich back to poordom, your government is in control and will take care of everything.
It is a good tag for her to wear.

I will probably be hung up to dry, but I was always leery of the present administration even from the start. It is now bordering on pure contempt and we need a change.

I am doing some research, and I don't have a dream ticket yet. I do like Obama and I am not total against Hilary, just now sure how she would do in the general election.

If a Republican candidate piqued my interest, I would have no problem voting for him/her.

Yes Paul, I am a neighbor, but apparently from the "liberal" metropolitan area. I do love Cannon Beach and all the surrounding beach areas.

I dont think you are alone in your dissapointment with the current administration.

Right now, I am giving Romney a close look. I think Guiliani is interesting but I am not convinced he has what it takes on a national scale.

Obama is in over his head. Thats my opinion. In some ways, I would prefer Hillary over Obama.

Whatever party the next president is from, I pray he or she is a problem solver and good communicator.

Plynnl, you say you aren't totally against Hillary, that implies you do have problems with her. What are your concerns, other than not sure how she'd do in the general election?

My problem with her is not necessarily with her politics although I consider her more conservative than some of the other democratic canditates. The problem is how she is perceived by some voters in this country and how that will transulate into how she is perceived by foreign governments expecially when our reputation has been severely damaged as it is.

Ralph Nader? Very scary, but hopefully a lot of unhappy Dems will vote for him, splitting the vote again. This is difficult to admit, but the more the Dem candidates talk, the more it's clear that Hillary isn't the worst, at least in my view. Edwards and Osama/Obama are going off the charts trying to please the farthest left. And Obama's military strategy is really, REALLY scary!!

I firmly believed a couple months ago that the next presidential election was the Democrat's to lose. I thought it would be a cakewalk for them because of the backlash to Bush. But, at this point, if the Repubs nominate a middle of the road candidate with a wide appeal that is *not-Bush*, then they just may win it. The leading Democrats are just too divisive, Especially Hillary.
