Hurricane Dean

So I wonder.... is there some significance to naming this current hurricane, Dean? Was it named after Howard Dean exalted ruler of the Democrat(ic) Party? Is it a metaphor of what the Democrats will do to us if they gain the White House?

May have been named after Jimmy Dean, since it's making sausage outta the Carribean!! Have you noticed that Howard Dean has again got back into the shadows while the Demo candidates jockey for position? Wadda snake(s)... oops, let my political slip show again!

I dont know. I would suspect that the name "Katrina" won't be popular among girls for quite some time in the Southeast.

Surprisingly, there has been a surge in TX/LA in baby girls being named Katrina, especially in the months following the storm. I saw a news segment about a year ago about it!
