July 4th Question

I'm here too just checking in. No work for me today - going to the sidewalk sale at the outlet mall! Shopping!!!

Coffee.... I'll throw an extra burger on the grill for you.

Irie.... I intended to go to Home Depot and do some yard work, but it's raining. So here I am.

Whirlwind

It's raining here too...still. Nevertheless, I'm about to start making roasted potato salad in preparation for a friend's backyard BBQ later tody. Not sure what the rain plan is --- grilling burgers in the garage, maybe? They don't have a covered patio.

We ate popsicles and played in the backyard playpool (filled with bubble bath). We grilled burgers, chicken, and corn on the cob, then watched a nearby fireworks show from our driveway.

My fingers never even touched a keyboard yesterday.

It sounds like your 4th was better than mine. The 31 year old son of one of our mechanics committed suicide on July 1st. Several of the ee's donated money and I spent yesterday morning cooking lunch for the family. Visitation was from 6-8 pm last night. What a lousy way for kids to spend the 4th of July.
