Why oh why did it have to be this way??? I can't believe he got voted off last night!! I'm so upset. I have no idea who will win now. Maybe Taylor? Someone console me, quick!
I thought Chris was going to punch Ryan when he announced the results. I've never seen anyone look as angry as Chris did. The entire half hour Katherine seemed to be pouting thinking she was it. I liked Taylor at first, but he's starting to get on my nerves alittle. Elliot's the underdog - I'm for him.
I too was totally in shock. I couldn't tell if Chris was stunned or angry. The way Ryan announced the result was so abrupt. Chris is from my area, so of course most fans around here were pulling for him. I too will be pullng for Elliott from now on.

While I think Kat is beautiful and does have talent, I think she's simply hanging on via the man-votes. And the Ace-like pouting is getting soooo irritating. At this point, I'm guessing that spasoid Taylor will make it to the end. But I gotta say, none of them impress me enough to buy a record or go see a concert.
I'm not sure what to think of Taylor. He is a breath of fresh air. Any of them are compared to what's been forced down our ears lately (Spears, Simpson, etc). But I don't know if that crosses over to record sales. Seems Idol has a hit every other year. Maybe next year will bring better results.
I was shocked too that Chris is out. Thought for sure it would be Katherine. Anybody but Taylor please! Doesn't he remind you of Joe Cocker? (For those of you old enough to know who I'm talkin' about.)
Hello. I have been a member for several years, and have just realized that I have missed out on years worth of entertainment by not reading this message board! I am in Bham, AL (home of Taylor Hicks and Bo Bice) and while we are all hoping he will win, being a home-boy. I actually can't figure out how he has gotten this far to be honest, unless it is because of that "vote for the worst" thing. I'd be glad if he won though! Anyway, I love the build-a-story thing y'all have going on. -Becky
We're neighbors! I'm in Huntsville, AL. At the last local chapter SHRM lunch, one of the guys at my table was childhood buddies and school mates with Taylor. He said he's been that way ("high energy") from childhood. I think he's popular because he's just plain fun to watch!
Well, I take back everything I said about Taylor getting this far. He was so good last night and the night before! Elliot has a great singing voice, but not really entertaining. I can't stand Katharine - what a spoiled brat. If she wins, I'm never watching that show again.
HI dchr - I went to the Alabama State SHRM Conference yesterday. I rarely go to the local meetings (BSHRM) although I should.
I told my wife early on that Taylor Hicks is another Joe Cocker who, by the way, was really spastic. One of those rare ocassions where a disability becomes a strength.
well, I voted for Taylor last night. My husband thinks I'm nuts. He doesn't even want to watch anymore since Daughtry was let go. However, that is probably the best thing that happened to him. Now he can choose what he wants to do instead of being forced into a contract like the winner will be. My guess is the last two will be Taylor and McFever. We'll find out tonight!!!!
I only watch the beginning of the season with the goofballs, but people around here really take this serious. (Especially with the hometown guy.) I have seen people riding around with "Vote For Elliot" on their back windshield! I'm sure they are upset about last night.
He may not be the best singer, but let's face it. It's not just about the vocals. You have to be an entertainer and he far outweighs McFever in that category. Our local radio station started talking about a disclaimer that runs at the end of the show stating your votes could be thrown out at any time. I didn't catch the entire conversation. Does anybody know what that's about?
Yeah, I think that the votes can get thrown out when they don't line up with the best marketing scheme of the show. "Winning" the AI can add up to being a burden for the "winner" becaause of the committment that follows. I think Chris and Mandesa will be the long term winners regardless of who "wins" the marketing marathon.
Mandesa was the best. Taylor should win this. If Katharine wins, then I know it is rigged! I don't buy the 33% deal either. That is just to make it seem close. I tried to vote for Taylor and never got through.
I actually tuned in to see the show last night. The reunions in their respective home towns was interesting to watch. But I got caught up in e-mail and the next time I looked, the two were left and the credits were rolling.
what is up with her this year? All she can say is "I love you and your voice pierces into my soul!" Yuck! Although my husband can't wait to see what she's wearing. =P~
She's on something. I like her though! I think that seeing what Katharine is going to wear is why Katharine is still in it. We Birminghamians are proud of Taylor!
Well - I do not know about anyone else, but I refuse to watch Idol anymore this season. Chris had talent and this voting thing cannot be based on the talent. He was great and deserved to win (and I am not saying that just because he was from NC). It is a funny thing that if he got the lowest number of votes, why could I never get through to vote for him! Makes you wonder.

How big is looks? Ok, I did see about ten minutes of one episode and the guy singing looked like an accountant hitting the karaoke bars on Friday.

I've said for a long time that Taylor is the best entertainer. And that is what counts.
Its all people talk about. Are Cliff notes available?

xB-) xB-) xB-)
:DD :DD :DD
I'll go check my Bible but I am pretty sure that may be one of the signs of the apocalypse.
