My mother was 29 for years until I turned 29 then she jumped to 39. When I turned 39 she no longer cared that her son was the same age. Now I'm nearly 14 years older than her.

The haiku contest was my idea (stolen from our fine daily newspaper "The Oregonian") but I can't recall who won.
