OK, I'm taking a short vacation in Ohio visiting my new grandson - that is why I haven't posted much the past couple of days. What about the rest of you?
Honestly, our employees voted to strike. We have been working on strike plans in order to cover the vacated positions to keep our clinics running. Thankfully I received a call last night that stated the strike had been cancelled.
I have also been dealing with last minute wedding plans. I've just been extremely busy. Right now I have larangitis and hope it goes away before my wedding. I have 2 1/2 weeks.
LAST EDITED ON 01-13-05 AT 07:48AM (CST)[br][br]Enduring the snow, sleet and ice of course. It's supposed to hit 50 today though.
My vacation won't be for awhile yet so I'll just slip away to my quiet spot now and then to think of happier places and times. x;-)
Well...I have a list of things that have kept me busy...the biggest two are Healthcare Open enrollment and yearend reviews. UGH!!! I think I need a vacation. The weather here can't decide if it's spring (temps close to 60 for a few days) or winter. I think I'll be sick soon.
Vacation--what's a vacation. Still, sort of, negotiating a union contract (last meeting was in December, next week's meeting has been cancelled by the union.) In any case, the temperature is suppose to go above 60 today (before dropping back to the 20's or 30's tomorrow). Hopefully (but doubtful), I'll be able to get out of here early and take a long walk in the park or along the waterfront.
I have been helping my son study for the Geography Bee finals. It is today at 2:00 at his school. I am going to watch - I think I am more nervous than he is. I never thought it would be so nerve racking to watch my kids when they compete!! Please wish ME luck!
I've been busy working up to my quit smoking day of Jan 15, tomorrow. I ran out of cigarettes last night so I decided to start a day early. I'm chewing the heck out of this gum, probably have sore jaws by days end. I never smoked during the day but I still feel "withdrawal".
Judy: I've been through that withdrawal program and it's tough. In fact this sentence is already too long for you to read and recall and recite. By the way, withdrawal has you in its grip! January 15 is NOT tomorrow! Concentrate, and remember this is only Monday, wait, Thursday.
National Guard: good luck with the Geography Bee! JudyT: You're doing great! Congratulations, and hang in there. I went through it as well, and chocolate does help. Eat all you want!
Woo Hoo, My son is the School Geography Bee Champ xclap xclap xclap.
The winning question was "What European country, which produces the most olive oil, is bordered by both the Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea?
For winning the Bee he gets to take a test! (To see if he qualifies for the state tournament in the spring. The test is today, I hope he does well. Oh boy, kinda nervous all over again!

Good luck to your son in the 'bee'. I hope he wins and I hope you calm down in time. Drink some chamomile tea!
Wish me luck!

Hand over the chocolate or I'll shoot!
