My resolutions for 2005 are to get organized (this is an annual resolution which has never come to be), and lose 10 pounds. Anyone else make New Year resolutions?
How and why do you feel unbalanced? How does the imbalance manifest itself? Do you feel that the introduction of anything in particular would provide balance? Is there guilt involved? What are your sleep habits? Let's open up here and get this out in the open.
I am a bit of a workaholic and find it difficult to separate out my professional persona from my family/intimate friendships/social personae. In other words, probably need to work less and play more, but work is like play for me.
After three years of therapy,I am about as "open" as I am gonna get. The good doctor should be paying me. (See what I mean)
Could have saved some money and time by spending more time on the forum interacting with you guys -- which has helped tremendously.
Organization has eluded me as well this year and I doubt will be any easier to grasp in 2005. I do resolve to exercise more though...weight loss is optional.
I need to exercise regularly and improve my diet. I plan to volunteer time at our church and donate more to charity and the church. I'll do the latter two...the first, we'll see...Happy New Year, everyone!
I resolve to find more time to read and meditate, get back in the gym, and paint my barn a la Peter Max style. I also resolve to not date men who are prettier than me.
I think it'll keep the cows from getting bored and the neighbors will have a positive affirmation that I am "that strange young woman" who bought the Hamilton Farm. (She ain't from 'round here, y'know!)
Zen please send us a photo when the barn is painted...sounds awesome. I too plan to meditate more, do more yoga and TAEBO, treadmill, and hopefully lose around 12-15 lbs over the course of the year. And just be extremely grateful for the love of my life that I have been with now for a year next week, grateful for my beautiful and healthy son and daughter both in mind and spirit and of course be very grateful for my job. Over all just be in a more positive and peaceful place. Happy New Year to All!
I signed up for a tai chi class. In theory, it will make me feel better and help me stick to an exercise plan. Also, I am quite shy about trying new things by myself, so going to a class in the nearest "city" will hopefully broaden my horizons a little.
I am also resolving to keep our farm pet population healthy and controlled - I have plans with a vet to have a mass neutering session on my kittens. Ten babies, eight boys. What are the odds? The two girls will likely get their turn in a few months.
