Look at your map. See that little dot at the top of the Chesapeake Bay? The last time I looked, Jeanne was heading for it. Think of me, y'all !(I can say that since we're South of the Mason-Dixon line.)
Not to worry Sam. Trade in your stilettos for swim fins and get your mayor to buy you a boat. Now that would be money well spent. You could even boatpool.
You're looking in the Southern part of the state. Crisfield is an old, developing and a very pleasant small community on the water. It's known for boating, fishing, and Tangier Island. Anyway, Elkton is located in the North Eastern most part of the state. Minutes from Delaware and Pennsylvania. We are the midpoint between Philadelphia and Baltimore.
SMoll-- If it makes you feel any better, my family keeps asking if I'm water-logged yet from what northeast Florida has gotten from the storms. I keep telling them it's a real good thing I grew up on the good old Eastern Shore so my feet are already webbed. My children have now experienced the Florida equivalent of snow days.
