My most favorite. I wish they would tour again, but doesn't look hopeful. Saw them in, I think, 1994 and it was a fantastic concert. Have been a fan since the early 70's.
I'm hearing 'Welcome to the Machine'. I've been a Floydian since the mid 70's. I used to write out Floyd lyrics to keep myself awake in accounting class in college. xI-)
The room is spinning, the blacklights are making things look different. I thought one foot on the floor was supposed to make things stop moving funny? Peace baby.
I love the music you are refering to, I saw Pink Floyd in the early nineties. Also went to a few Dead shows (talk about an interesting culture to watch). But it's not the music that makes the picture interesting. x}>
Since I looked at this, I have been humming a song and for the life of me I couldn't remember who sang it. As soon as I looked at this it popped in my head...

That's the trouble with wearing so many hats. Getting the right one on for the occasion of the moment. I knew there was a good reason that girl gets all the coffee she wants.
Beaglepuss is right...it was Iron Butterfly and Kiwi was right it was suppose to be In The Garden of Eden...but he was so stoned on acid he couldn't get the words out right.
I love trivia...especially when I know the answers!!
Janis Joplin is another drugged out...lost too early hippie. Oh Lord won't you buy me a mercedes benz...my friend all drive porsches...I must make amends...
I remember Dialing for Dollars. It was on at lunch time, then it was out to play for a while and back in at 3 for Dark Shadows. All part of my grueling summer schedule as a kid.
OH MY GOD...there are people that remember Dark Shadows!!!
I bought the first 10 VHS tapes of the show from Ebay and have been watching them. I can remember my sisters making me run home from the babysitter's so they wouldn't miss the beginning.
"My name is Victoria Winters...dawn has met the night and all is not well at Collinwood"....
I found dark shadows to be a huge disappointment. When it first aired, I thought it was going to be excellent TV, however I found it long on music and soap opera scenarios and short on delivery of an eerie, spooky story. It occasionally still airs on the Sci Fi channel, but it is just filler - a real waste of time IMHO. Of course, all the rest of the shows I watch have redeeming social values, great scripts and the best actors. YOu know, shows like "My Favorite Martian."
I remember watching Dark Shadows as a kid. I bought the 1st season on dvd at Best Buy for my mom for Christmas. I even watched some of it but couldn't believe how lame it was...sigh...
