You know I'm sitting here looking at your picture, Cheryl, and you look so familiar. I've been wracking my brain trying to figure out why... where have I seen you before. I couldn't quite figure it out, then it struck me. You look just like my sister. It's amazing.

Even for a sister look-a-like, you look great.

Thanks, Ray, but I've lost most of my hard-earned tan since being back. This cool, damp weather has made me bring my sweaters out again.

Regarding the 50-ish Ray's comment: I think he has a fixation on perceived relatives he thinks might look like him or his siblings... case in point, he feels I'm his Evil Twin. Watch out, New Hampshire! x:-)

Great photo Cheryl. I was in Puerto Vallarta last year and that scenery looks familiar. Is that a water park in the backgroundA? The place I stayed at had a water park on the premises and it looks like the same one in your picture.

We are going to Acapulco this summer, I can't wait. Maybe I'll post my picture then

We stayed at the Mayan Palace Marina. The resort was across the street from the marina, and there was a little waterway that connected it to our hotel.

Did you risk taking the buses around the city? A lot can be said about Mexican public transportation. :-S

Yes that's it, we stayed at the Mayan Palace too! I remember the waterway, and people could kayak in it. It didn't look like anything I'd want to fall into though.

We did take the buses a couple of times. It wasn't great, but I think driving in Mexico can even be worse than taking the public transportation.

We Phoenicians have never seen that lush green stuff on the ground behind you. Our palm trees are surrounded by rocks. Where do they find such unusual ground cover? x:D

Hey thanks...I was in a matching mood that day.

The ground cover was not unlike the stuff stuck to the ground in FL. It's a waxy sort of grassy vine. There's a sign that tells everyone in Spanish to "stay off the pasture". Something tells me though that the NH cows wouldn't touch it.

Yes, he liked to hang upside down and whistle at the ladies as they walked by. I didn't get close enough to inquire his real identity.

Nice picture! and Happy B-day! The northern parts of Mexico don't look anywhere that lush, but Cozumel was. Diverse as any other country I suppose!

Thanks! Hey we went to Cozumel last year (one stop of the cruise) and it was o.k. but not as nice as Puerto Vallarta. Senor Frogs was bigger and wilder there though.

Hey Cheryl, great photo! I think you have to much class to be hangin' out with us. I agree, Cozumel was nice - twice was enough. May look into Puerto Vallarta - it looks great.

Cheryl, when did you take your cruise? Mine was in December with stops in Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Jamaica, mon. I preferred Grand Cayman, but to be fair, we really didn't have much time in Jamaica.
