Watching the Westminster Kennel Club show last night (second half plus BIS is tonight), I was reminded of the following....
NEW CANINE CROSSBREEDS:
Collie + Lhasa Apso = Collapso, a dog that folds up for easy transport
Labrador Retriever + Curly Coated Retriever = Lab Coat Retriever, the choice of research scientists
Spitz + Chow Chow = Spitz-Chow, a dog that throws up a lot
Bloodhound + Borzoi = Bloody Bore, a dog that's not much fun
Pointer + Setter = Poinsetter, a traditional Christmas pet
Kerry Blue Terrier + Skye Terrier = Blue Skye, a dog for visionaries
Great Pyrenees + Dachshund = Pyradachs, a puzzling breed
Pekingnese + Lhasa Apso = Peekasso, an abstract dog
Newfoundland + Basset Hound = Newfound Asset Hound, a dog for financial dvisors
Malamute + Pointer = Moot Point, owned by....oh, well, it doesn't matter
anyway
Bull Terrier + Shitzu** = Bull Shitzu, a gregarious but unreliable breed
** Yes, I know that's not how it's really spelled, but that's how most people pronounce it, and it makes the joke work.

Thanks for my late day laugh:)
When flipping channels the other night, I saw part of dog show and it made me laugh to see how they pick up the dogs by the tail and the way most of them run with stiff legs. My husband made an observation that most of their owners or handlers were overweight middle aged women with lots of jewels.
Guess that's why I finally had to get out of the dog show world -- I only had one of those three attributes x;-).
Some of those guys make me look rather slender.
If only.
