When you're up 3-1, two out of the three final games are on your home field, with your two aces on the mound, and you lose the series - that is not a curse. It's that other "c" word - choke! x:o
Look out ! 2008 is coming...going for the Big Old Hundred Years....Gonna win that year for sure! I had better start sewing the 2008 memorabilia soon. Can hardly wait....what sould I price pennants at ? T-shirts ? blankets ? caps ?
I know its maddening, but they need to cut the guy some slack. His was not the only hands reaching out for that ball. IN any game, any staduim, where they let the fans that close to the fields, it is a natural thing to get excited about the game and hope to catch a ball. And come on, to blame him for the loss when it eneded up at 3-8 is whining. If these "professionals" can let that one incident ruin it for them that they can not concentrate or play anymore, I don't know if they should be called professionals.
(I know, I am not a Cubs fan so it is much easier for me to say these things).
