If the comedian said Jerry Springer was thinking of throwing his chair into the ring, does that mean Gary Coleman threw his booster chair into the ring?
As soon as Heraldo Rivera (In reality he is Jerry Rivers, a Jewish young man) throws his hat in the ring, the circle of idiots will be complete. Why would Arnold worry about his infidelity being exposed to his wife? Anyone married to a Kennedy need not worry about things falling out of the closet. The biggest concern Californicators have at the moment is the massive expense it will take to repaint the interior of the mansion with some awful color combination when one of these clowns moves in. Reading through this one makes me realize how good we've got it with only Trent Lott to embarass us. Gillian, if still unemployed, would make an excellent candidate.
Nobody wants it?!?! Everyone does! Almost 250 candidates. And the voting system is in an uproar - it's going to be Florida all over again. Californians aren't going to know who their governor is until next spring - and maybe with what's going on that's just as well.
Referring to my previous post: make that several carnivals.
My expectations from government are only two things: 1. Defend us. 2. Entertain us. Beyond that I don't expect anything from the government. With the U.S. government preoccupied with number 1 it's nice to see California picking up the slack on number 2.
LAST EDITED ON 08-18-03 AT 12:53PM (CST)[p]I'd vote for Gallagher - I love the whole smash-the-watermelon-get-the-front-seat-folks skit. What really, I hate to say it, 'sucks' is how closely Washington State Politics follow CA's - we'll be next just watch! (ps I don't want to upset folks from CA - I simply mean that folks in WA usually take their political cues from CA & sometimes it's not always positive.)
In WA politics, up here we have Larry, Moe and Curly (not their real names) running on the Democratic ticket for Governor - and virtually no one on the Republican ticket! The chairperson for the Republican party in WA state is even turning away candidates! Strange times.
I can relate. We own three hotels in Washington and it's always a treat to visit them and listen to our general managers complain about this, that or the other as it relates to local politics. Personally, I hate having to deal with the WA unemployment compensation system and the work comp system up there.
I heard a Schwarzenegger campaign commercial on the radio this morning - it was actually well written, although it was a bit weird to hear these emotional and eloquent lines with that accent! Of course, he touched on several issues but completely ommitted any mention of the illegal immigration issue. Looks like we have another politically correct scaredy-cat trying for office!

>somewhere there's a carnival running itself.
And elsewhere there are several villages which are doing without their idiots.
I think we who do not live in California already count our blessings - especially those of us in HR.

Jesse! Come back!
What's the downside?
