Corporate Gifting Policies

Are any of you looking at your "gifting " policies (usually covered in the Code of Ethics) in light of Enron and friends?? Any concerns about allowing execs to go on expensive golf outings, using box tickets, concert tickets, expensive restaurants, getaway weekends from customers, clients, and/or any other "gifts" that potentially conflict with ethics policies. I'm interested in gifts received and gifts given to/from vendors, customers, clients, consultants, employees. Does anyone allow the purchase of employee gifts i.e. birthday, wedding with company money??

The offering or accepting of any monetary compensation, trip, loan, and gift from outside vendor or competitor constitutes a lack of integrity and is a violation of our policy. Books, tapes or other materials can be accepted, if they are samples or are part of the promotion. If an employee is giving a ticket to a function and he/she beliefs that it would be beneficial to attend. He/she must obtain the approval of the owner (CEO) prior to attending.
