Help! Need Leave of Absence Policy

We are looking for a good leave of absence policy for our non-exempt employees. Can anyone help with samples? Thanks!

  • I recently rewrote the absentee policy for our non-exempt ee's. It is a no fault policy giving the ee's 64 hrs to miss w/o providing an excuse. They still have to call in or give prior notice for the absence or receive a warning if they do not. They will be notified as they use up their no fault time to keep them informed of the time left. Of course they have scheduled approved absences that do not count toward their no fault time, i.e. vacation, holidays, FMLA, Jury Duty, Military Leave, Pregancy Leave, Personal Leave for Good Cause, etc.

    To reinforce prudent use of the no fault time a bonus will be paid at the end of the absentee year (runs on fiscal yr).
