Sales Position Pay Structure

We have recently invested a significant amount of money into a new product line and are in the process of developing a sales position to sell this product. This position is a new position and we want to make the pay structure as attractive as possible to bring in a heavy hitter. However, we want to make sure that we are getting the bang for our buck. I am wondering if any of you would mind sharing a sales pay structure with me that might work for us. I have investigated hybrid structures that incorporate a base salary with a bonus. Any other ideas?
