Does anyone have a good job analysis questionnaire that really gets to the heart of determining whether a job meets (or does not meet) the exemption requirements under the FLSA? I'd rather not re-invent the wheel if I don't have to. If soemone would like to share what they have, please email it to [email]dan@prdothan.com[/email] - it would much appreciated!

The third edition of a book we sell -- "HR Quick List: Practical Legal Steps for Responding to Workplace Events" -- contains an "Exemption Audit Check List." A chapter in the Compensation and Benefits section addresses what to do when you're deciding whether an employee is exempt from overtime. At the end of the chapter, on page 184, you'll find the audit check list -- a six-page, step-by-step diagram that author Julie Athey designed to walk you through the process.
