Unpaid Accrued Time

Recently, I have had a problem with my recollection of what Maryland law says about having to pay employees for accrued time off (vacation time, personal leave as well as and sick leave) when an employer either terminates an employee or an employee quits/resigns. I am under the impression that it is up to the employer and their policy on these issues, but I do need to be aware if there are any MD state laws that govern this. I would appreciate it if someone could help me and provide me with advice on this topic. Thank you.
