Double time paid by error

EE were paid double time on hrs worked on one particular day. My question is .....Is there a law in Texas that prevent us from deducting,in their next pay check, the extra amount paid?

I work for a Texas state agency and we are allowed to correct errors like this in subsequent pay checks. I don't know what type of employer you are, but here's some contact info. that might be helpful:

The office of the commissioner representing employers has a staff of attorneys who are available to answer questions like this. They've been a good resource for me.
