More questions on new FLSA Regs

I am not sure if my interpretation is correct on this... The new mandatory rate is $455 per week for exempt staff, based on a 40 hour workweek. If my company's work week is 35 hours, would it follow that the rate should be set at approx. $400? Thanks.

Thus if the position is part time, such as 35 hours, the current threshold still has to be met.

    I doubt that that Opinion will change with the new regulation since it speaks about a dollar amount (as well as duties) to be exempt and not about FTE status.
