  • [font size="1" color="#FF0000"]LAST EDITED ON 04-21-04 AT 03:47PM (CST)[/font][br][br]Remember, your state's wage and hour and regulations law may still impact what you may do even if these FLSA regulatory changes that will be effective in 4 months. The FLSA law itself wasn't changed but only the regulations to implementing it. To the exent that some of these new regulations may be more restrictive on employees while existing state wage and hour laws and regulations may be more beneficial to employees, the new federal regulations may have little impact.

    We'll have to wait to see what some states do that currently have different provisions or interpretations than the new regulations. Illinois has already made its position clear.
