Tennessee Site, California Payroll dept

My company operates a facility in Tennessee, however, our payroll is "processed" in California. Being that the work and employees are TN, are we not subject to TN wage laws. California has a rule to pay overtime after 8 hours per day. In TN, we are only obligated to pay overtime after 40 hours in a workweek, correct? Where can I find information on TN payroll laws to express this to upper management. We can save a lot of money. The daily overtime requirement is hurting the budget.
