Vacation time

Wondering what some other manufacturing/assembly companies out there offer their employee after or during their first year of employment???

In my last job which was office furniture manufacturing and assembly, the employees earned 2 weeks of vacation and 1 week of paid personal leave in the first year. In addition we had STD that would cover up to 26 weeks at 50% of their base pay. In retrospect, this was quite costly and perhaps one of the reasons the company has consolidated all of it's plants back into Michigan. Sorry got off on a tangent!
