Annual Salary Increases- All Employees Eligible?

Hello All,
We are a sales company located in Northern NJ. We currently have a policy that employees need to have been employed continuosly for 6 months with our firm (hired by Sep 1st each year) in order to qualify for a salary increase at the beginning of our fiscal year in March. Can you tell me what your company's policy is on that? Do your employees have a waiting period before they are eligible for a salary increase or are they eligible right away? Just want to make sure that our 6 month waiting period is not unreasonable.

6 months for eligibility at my company.

We also require 6 months, although this can be overridden in special circumstances, such as a significant increase in job duties or responsibilities.
