Payroll Processing Question

Just wondering how many employees you have at your company and how long it takes the payroll clerk to process payroll from start to finish? We process payroll on a weekly basis and use ADP as our payroll provider. I'm trying to get a "feel" for how long it should take to process a weekly payroll for 190 employees.

I process P/R on a weekly basis for approx. 110 ee. From start to finish including manual calculation of timecards, data entry into payroll system, running all applicable reports, direct deposits via mail, printing check, final reports and signing of checks it takes me approx. 4 - 5 hrs. depending on interuptions. On a good day 3 1/2hrs. Then follow up with tax payments and other direct deposits via computer.

I can process my payroll for 80 ee's in 1/2 hour. We do ours with Paychex and most of my work is entering it into the software. I don't have anything extra to do like child support deductions or anything like that, so I fly threw it.
