We are a small computer software company that sells a handfull of products developed for use by large businesses. The products are fairly complex and require a strong technical background in computer software development in order to be successful in selling the programs. Our products are sold world-wide, but our sales staff works mostly by phone from the office. All of the sales staff make commissions in addition to salary. The most senior sales person makes a base salary of $75K per year and the most junior makes a base salary of $42K per year.
Under this scenario, can these sales people be considered "professional" based on the computer savy required and the amount of pay they earn?
