Jury leave for shift workers

Our company pays regular pay for each hour spent on jury duty. The employee with jury duty spent 8 hours on jury duty and then worked her shift of 8 hours on three different days. As the week ended, the employee had 40 hours of regular shift work and 24 hours of jury duty.

Do we pay 40 hours at regular time and 24 hours of overtime. Or do we pay 64 hours of regular time.
