Hidden Paychecks

I would like to create what is called a "hidden paycheck" that is included in an employees regular paycheck but is a comprehensive list of all aspects of compensation.

It usually lists what the employer contributes for medical insurance, dental, life insurance, etc..

The purpose of this hidden paycheck as I understand is to help employees understand the true value of their total compensation package, not just the number on their paycheck.

Is there anyone out there doing this who could send me an example of thiers or could provide some advice on how to do this?

Paul: Many insurance carriers will furnish an annual benefits statement to you as a service. This may be helpful if you have a large amount of employees and don't have time to process this information yourself. You may want to check with them before you tackle this project yourself.

There is a great program called Fringe Facts made by a company in California that allows you to create a short and long form benefits statement. We have used this a couple of times with our clients. If you would like further information, shoot me an email and I will be happy to send.

I have info from Fringe Facts. Their product is impressive. However their fee is beyond what I could afford. However, if I worked for a larger organization I would probably sign up.

I have put together my own "compensation summary" and plan to issue it in December.

We include a statement as well (in letter format) that accompanies the W2 statement. Ours includes unemployment and ER Fica/Mcare tax portions as well.
