Incentive Pay

We are considering giving our employees an incentive (hazard) pay for a job in a third world country. I am interested if anyone can give me some feedback on the rate that they are currently giving their employees in similar situations. We have covered all of the safety issues but would like to give a daily, weekly, etc., bonus to all of the employees who volunteer for the job.
Any feedback would be extremely helpful.
Thanks!

We consider a "Hot Zone" to be any country noted on the U.S. State Department's website as Travel Warnings - Countries to Avoid. The link to the website is: http://travel.state.gov/warnings_list.html
We base our incentive pay on the State Department's per diem rates used for each country. We take the per diem rate and multiply it by the number of days the employee will be required to work in the country.
We pay the employee their salary and the per diem calculation as a bonus, and use the aggregate method of taxation for federal purposes. The State Department's website for per diem rates is:

Good luck!
