I have found the best source to be associations and trade publications related to my industry.

Another is the bureau of labor statistics at [url]http://www.bls.gov/[/url]. You can also find salary expectations on job posting websites like monster.com.

Business and Legal Reports indicated during a sales call to me yesterday that they are ready to send out a new salary survey. You might give them a call at 1-800-727-5257. We also do salary surveys to like companies in our industry so that we are comparing apples to apples. Good luck.

Is there a cost associated with these salary surveys and if so what is the amount?

The Bureau of Labor statistics data can be pulled from their website - no charge
Job posting sites have it no charge - You go in as if you were seeking that job title
Associations may or may not charge depending on benefits of membership
Trade publications cost whatever that issue costs

I would do what Nat suggested - call other like businesses in your area. What you want to know is whether your salaries are competitive for the same work. We've found this works best for us as we hire radiology technologists who are in high demand right now. We need to know what our competitors are paying.
